A County Lines drug dealer who was found with thousands of pounds worth of drugs in Smethwick has been jailed.
Tremaine Thomas was jailed at Birmingham Crown Court on Friday (12 Jan) after pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply cocaine and cannabis.
This was after the 23-year-old was arrested following warrants in March 2022 and February 2023.
In one of the warrants, officers searched an address in Primrose Hill, where they found wraps of crack cocaine worth more than £3,000 as well as herbal cannabis worth between £3,000 and £4,500.
They also found cannabis packets which had been shipped from the USA with a fake invoice for a leather jacket.
It became immediately clear the quantities of drugs and money at Thomas’ house were for dealing purposes, with enquiries establishing Thomas was running a drug line supplying to the Birmingham area.
Also found at the address was around £3,500 in cash and numerous mobile phones.
Another warrant found more crack cocaine as well as heroin.
Thomas offered no comment when interviewed, but closer examination proved the drugs were cannabis and crack cocaine.
Thomas, of Primrose Hill, was jailed for six years.
County Lines are the phone lines that drug dealers use to sell drugs around the country.
These drugs lines often exploit young people and vulnerable adults to store, produce and sell drugs.
