Police are investigating after a group of people were seen riding quad bikes dangerously near the Arcadian in central Birmingham this weekend.

Investigators have been reviewing footage of the group, who were seen in the early hours of Saturday, as enquiries to identify and trace those involved continue.

Our specialist traffic officers are on hand to carry out extra patrols in the area and police have the power to seize and crush vehicles where necessary.

Officers from our local Birmingham teams are also working closely with partners, including the Southside BID, to tackle such behaviour.

Birmingham Chief Inspector Rich Evans, said: “This sort of behaviour is totally unacceptable and will not be tolerated on the streets of our city

“It is both dangerous for those on the roads and pavements as well as being disruptive and unpleasant for anyone in the area to have to endure.

“We are liaising with partners in the city as our investigation goes on and we’d urge anyone who can help identify those involved to come forward.

“Investigators want to hear from anyone who has CCTV or dashcam footage of the incident to get in touch, or if you think you know who these riders may be, please get in contact.”
