An 18-year-old man from Brierley Hill has been charged with cultivating cannabis and abstracting electricity after police uncovered a cannabis factory in the area.
Officers from the Priority Crime Team in Dudley raided a property on Columbus Avenue yesterday morning, where they discovered dozens of cannabis plants. The operation was prompted by concerns raised by the local community.
The suspect appeared in court this morning and has been remanded in custody pending his next court appearance, which is scheduled for next month.
Police continue to encourage residents to report any suspicious activity in their neighbourhood.
