Three teenagers have been charged in connection with a robbery in Birmingham, facing multiple offences including kidnap, robbery, dangerous driving, and possession of an offensive weapon.
A 15-year-old boy has been charged with kidnap, robbery, dangerous driving, and possession of a knife in a public place. Two additional youths, aged 15 and 14, have been charged with kidnap and robbery offences. All three have been remanded in custody and are set to appear at Birmingham Youth Court for their first hearing tomorrow morning (Monday).
The charges follow an incident reported around 3am on 9 November at the junction of Gravelly Lane and Mona Road, where a man was found with leg injuries after having his car stolen.
These arrests form part of Operation Target, a dedicated initiative to tackle serious and organised crime across Birmingham. Officers are using local intelligence, executing warrants, and seizing goods to curb such offences.
