Appeal for Witnesses After Teenager Stabbed in Washwood Heath

Police are appealing for witnesses following the stabbing of a 16-year-old boy in Washwood Heath earlier today.

Officers were called to Alum Rock Road, near its junction with Burney Lane, shortly after 8am on Friday. The teenager was attacked while walking to catch a bus and suffered serious leg injuries. He was swiftly taken to hospital for treatment.

Local residents have expressed concern over the incident, and the police have reassured the community that patrols will be increased in the area over the coming days. Officers will remain visible to provide support and reassurance.

Authorities are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has relevant information to come forward and assist with their investigation.
