A 32-year-old man has been arrested following a vicious dog attack in West Bromwich that left a man in his 20s with serious injuries. The incident occurred on Ripon Drive at approximately 4:40 PM on Friday, 14 March, prompting a swift response from local police.
Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim with severe injuries. He was immediately transported to the hospital, where he remains in a critical but stable condition. The dog involved in the attack, identified as an XL Bully, was Tasered by police at the scene and subsequently died.
Two additional dogs were seized from the property and are currently being held in police kennels. The arrested individual, who voluntarily surrendered to authorities on the morning of 17 March, is being held on suspicion of possessing a dog dangerously out of control and owning a banned breed of dog. He remains in custody for further questioning.
