Six Teenagers Arrested After School Stabbing in Birmingham

Six teenagers have been arrested after a 15-year-old boy was stabbed at Moseley School in Birmingham. The incident occurred just before 2pm yesterday in the grounds of the school on Wake Green Road.

The victim, who sustained two slash injuries to his back, was taken to hospital. Fortunately, his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Police confirmed that six boys, aged 13 and 14, have been arrested on suspicion of wounding and remain in custody. Officers are working closely with the school to review CCTV footage and gather witness statements.

Detective Sergeant Shereen Ballintine from Birmingham CID described the incident as “an appalling attack which has left a teenage boy with significant injuries” and acknowledged the distress it has caused to other pupils.

She added: “We are working very closely with the school to build as clear a picture as possible of what happened and why, but it’s really important we hear from anyone with information or footage of what happened.”

Police are urging anyone with information to come forward as extra patrols are being deployed around the area today to offer reassurance to the community.
