A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was hit by a car on Saturday morning (26 December).
A 28-year-old man was found in Coton Road, Erdington with serious head injuries just before 6 am and sadly passed away shortly after.
Detectives believe he was hit by a car that drove off, an investigation is underway to fully understand what happened.
A 26-year-old man handed himself in to a local police station this afternoon.
Detective Sergeant Nick Barnes, from our homicide team, said: “This is a significant development in our investigation to establish what took place on Saturday, but we still need to hear from anyone who has any information.
“I would appeal to anyone who has any information who has not yet spoken to us to please get in touch.
“Our thoughts remain with the family of the man at this incredibly difficult time.”
