Police are appealing for information after a custom-made pushchair and emergency medical equipment were stolen from a vehicle in Erdington.

The items were inside a blue Volkswagen Sharan that was taken during the early hours of Sunday, 7 July. While the vehicle has since been recovered, the specialist pushchair and an emergency bag containing life-saving equipment remain missing.

The pushchair was designed specifically for a two-year-old child with serious health needs. The emergency bag, which was stored beneath the pushchair, is marked with a distinctive Mickey Mouse image.

Officers are urging anyone who may have spotted the items discarded in the area to come forward, even if they were unaware of their importance at the time.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: “We need to help get these vital items back for the child as soon as possible. If anyone has seen the pushchair or emergency bag, please contact us immediately.”

Anyone with information is asked to call 101 and quote crime reference number 20/300531/25.
