A Birmingham man has been charged with firearms offences as police continue to investigate a collision in Balsall Heath on Friday.
A Nissan Micra was being pursued by officers after failing to stop a short time earlier when it clipped another vehicle on Edward Road at the junction with Lincoln Street just before 12.50pm.
Hakeem Ebrahim, aged 28 of no fixed address, has been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, possession of a prohibited weapon and possession of ammunition without a certificate. He will appear before Birmingham magistrates tomorrow (20 May).
A teenage passenger, thrown from the Micra, was taken to hospital with serious injuries, where he remains in a stable condition. He is also under arrest for possession of a firearm.
Police said:
We are still looking for a third man, who also made off from the vehicle.
