Independent charity Crimestoppers has announced a reward of up to £20,000 for information that helps catch those responsible for the rape of a young woman in Oldbury.

The woman, in her 20s, was attacked on Tuesday 9 September at around 8.30am in the Tame Road area. Police are continuing a major investigation, with detectives checking CCTV and forensic experts carrying out enquiries.

Chief Superintendent Kim Madill from Sandwell Police said:

“We are determined to find answers. This young woman is at the centre of our investigation, and we will not stop until those responsible are brought to justice. We again appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen two white men. One had a shaved head, a heavy build, and was wearing a dark sweatshirt with gloves. The other wore a grey top with a silver zip.”

Crimestoppers Regional Manager Alan Edwards added:

“We believe someone out there knows something. By offering this reward, we want to encourage people to come forward. You can do this completely anonymously.”

Crimestoppers is independent of the police and guarantees full anonymity. Information can be shared by calling 0800 555 111 or online at crimestoppers-uk.org.

The £20,000 reward will only be given for information passed directly to Crimestoppers that leads to the arrest and conviction of those involved.
