Police have recovered suspected Class A drugs and wads of cash as WMP continue to tackle drug crime in Birmingham.
Police acted on information and executed warrants at addresses in the city earlier this morning (10 June).
Officers seized packages believed to contain drugs and a mobile phone suspected of acting as a hotline from Woodlands Road, Saltley. These are now being closer examined by experts.
Officers also discovered more packages of white powder and equipment involved in the cutting and wrapping of drugs during a simultaneous raid at a flat in Margaret’s Road, Ward End. There was also £5,000 in cash seized.
A 23-year-old man and woman aged 35 have been arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply. A 14-year-old boy has also been detained and all are currently in police custody for questioning.
The operation was carried out by officers from the Birmingham Organised Crime Team, Shard End neighbourhood policing unit and the operational support unit.
