The family of a woman murdered in Stockland Green last week are ‘beyond devastated and heartbroken’ at the loss of Marie Gladders.
Marie, aged 51, from Chemsley Wood, was sadly pronounced dead after Police were called to George Road last Thursday evening (12 November).
A post mortem examination concluded that Marie died of stab injuries.
Her family have said: “We are beyond devastated and heartbroken over the tragic loss of our beautiful mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, partner and friend.
“To lose her in such a cruel way is deeply saddening, and we pray that justice is served for her. We hope that she is at peace now.
“Sleep tight mom until we meet you again, we love you to infinity! ”
Mark Masefield, aged 52 and of George Road, was charged with Marie’s murder last Friday (13 November). He appeared at Birmingham Magistrates Court on Saturday (14 November) and was remanded into custody.
