The grieving family of a 26-year-old man who died in a road collision in Coventry last week has shared a touching tribute to their beloved relative.

Reece Bird tragically lost his life in a crash on Quorn Way on 16 May. His devastated family released a heartfelt statement alongside a photograph, remembering him as a loving brother and friend who “lit up the room.”

In their emotional tribute, the family said:
“With a heavy heart, we lost our Reece on Friday. Reece was one of a kind. We’ve lost our brother, our best friend, our main man. Anyone who knew him knew how much he lit up the room by just walking in—a smile that could fix anything. He never thought anything was impossible and always went above and beyond for his family.”

The family expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support, adding:
“If only love could bring a person back. Our family would like to say thank you for all the love and support we have received. Reece would be so proud.”

Reece’s younger sister, Georgia, shared a personal message:
“Rest in paradise, my big brother. I love you always and forever.”
