Refugees who founded Yorkshire Dama Cheese in West Yorkshire will have their Hello-Mi Rolls (£2.99, 230g) — joint winner of Channel 4’s Aldi’s Next Best Thing, the ‘Party’ episode —restocked in Aldi from 14th July.

Razan Alsous and her husband Raghid Sandouk left Syria with their three children 12 years ago, before building their cheese business in Sowerby Bridge from scratch.

The pair featured on the hit Channel 4 show – where small businesses get to pitch to Aldi bosses – and won a life changing contract to supply 40,000 Hello-Mi Rolls to over 1,000 Aldi stores nationwide.

The party food treats were a hit with shoppers, who took to social media declaring they ‘LOVED them’ and that they tasted ’so good!’

Now, those who missed out on trying the rolls get a second chance to sample the savoury delights.

Vegetarian-friendly and bursting with flavour, Hello-Mi Rolls are made up of ‘Halloumi style’ squeaky cheese, chilli, thyme and nigella seeds, wrapped in filo pastry. Made using fresh, high-quality British cow and goats’ milk, each roll is handmade at their West Yorkshire factory.

Razan says: “‘We are really excited to see Hello-Mi Rolls back on Aldi’s shelves – it’s the greatest thing that’s happened to us. We’ve received so many messages from people who wanted to see them back, it’s clear people love them!”.

Hello-Mi Rolls are available in stores from 14th July. But shoppers need to get in quick for a chance to try. As with all Specialbuys, once they’re gone, they’re gone!
