A man has been charged in connection with a stabbing that took place in Birmingham earlier this week.
Emergency services were called to Tyburn Avenue at around 9:30am on Monday, 21 July, following reports that a man in his 20s had been attacked. The victim sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Jayden Straker, 24, from Wolverhampton, was subsequently arrested and has now been charged with wounding with intent, possession of a bladed article, and possession of a Class B drug.
Straker appeared before Birmingham Magistrates’ Court yesterday (22 July) and has been remanded in custody ahead of a further court hearing next month.
West Midlands Police have confirmed that enquiries are ongoing and are appealing to the public for any information that could assist the investigation.
Officers are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have dashcam or CCTV footage from the area at the time of the incident.
Anyone with information is urged to call police on 101, quoting log 1080 of 21 July.
