A man has been charged with murder following a house fire in Birmingham that left another man dead.
Stephen Dale, 47, is accused of killing Daniel Gardner, 37, after emergency services were called to a property on Saxons Way, Highters Heath, in the early hours of Friday (21 September).
Police, fire and ambulance crews arrived shortly before 1.10am. Mr Gardner was found seriously injured and rushed to hospital, but he sadly died a short time later.
Dale is due to appear before Birmingham Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Monday).
Detectives are continuing their investigation and have appealed for anyone with information or footage to call 101, quoting log 174 of 19 September.
