WMP have launched a murder investigation after a 30-year-old man was stabbed to death in Birmingham last night (Sunday 21 June).
Police Police called to a disorder on Cardington Avenue in Birmingham just after 9pm, where the man was sadly found with fatal injuries to his neck. His family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody this morning (Monday 22 June), as enquiries continue.
Detective Inspector Jim Colclough from the force CID team, said: “We’d like to hear from anyone who has any information on what happened last night that led to a young man losing his life.
“We understand there may have been an incident earlier on in the evening on Newbury Road near to Alma Street involving the same people and we’d like to speak to anyone who noticed anything suspicious or who has any dash-cam footage of a fight.”
