Detectives are continuing their investigation after a woman was raped in Oldbury last week.
The attack happened in the Tame Road area just before 8.30am on Tuesday, 9 September. The victim, a woman in her 20s, is being supported by specialist officers as enquiries progress.
A man in his 30s was arrested last Sunday on suspicion of rape and has since been bailed pending further enquiries.
Chief Superintendent Kim Madill of Sandwell Police said:
“This is a key time for people going to work or school and we need your help if you saw anything that may assist our enquiries. The victim remains at the heart of our investigation and we continue to support her.”
Officers are appealing for information about two men seen in the area at the time. One was described as white, with a shaved head and heavy build, wearing a dark sweatshirt and gloves. The second man was said to be wearing a grey top with a silver zip.
Detectives have reviewed hundreds of hours of CCTV and are carrying out extensive forensic work as part of the investigation.
Ch Supt Madill added:
“Whilst this is being treated as an isolated incident, I understand the fear and concern this has caused in our community. Violence against women and girls remains a key priority for us, and we are determined to bring those responsible to justice.”
Police are urging anyone with information, dashcam or doorbell footage to contact them on **101 quoting log 798 of 9 September**, or via the dedicated public portal.
