Police are continuing their investigation into a collision that occurred in Balsall Heath yesterday, involving a Nissan Micra that failed to stop for officers and subsequently clipped another vehicle.
The incident happened just before 12:50pm on Edward Road at the junction with Lincoln Street. During the pursuit, a teenage passenger was ejected from the Micra and sustained serious injuries. He was transported to the hospital where he remains in a stable condition. The teenager is also under arrest for possession of a firearm.
Another occupant of the vehicle, a 28-year-old man, attempted to flee the scene but was apprehended nearby. He is now in custody on suspicion of firearms offences and possession of class A drugs, following the recovery of a live and viable firearm.
A third individual who fled from the vehicle is still at large.
