A man who raped two teenage girls and threatened a 12-year-old to share indecent images has been sentenced to 18 years in prison.
Gurpreet Randhawa, 21, from Wellington Road in Wolverhampton, carried out vile sexual attacks on two 15-year-old girls after persuading them to meet him.
He raped one of the girls on three separate occasions between August and September 2025. On the final attack, he drove her to a car park in Wolverhampton and raped her in the back of his vehicle. When she tried to resist, he grabbed her by the throat.
The girl showed great courage by telling her school about the attack, which quickly led to police being informed. Officers identified Randhawa – who used the name “Ziggy” online – and arrested him the same day.
Police also found that Randhawa, using different aliases, had contacted a 12-year-old girl through social media. He engaged in sexualised chats, sent her inappropriate videos and pictures of himself, and threatened to harm her if she did not send similar images in return. He even encouraged her to ask friends to do the same.
Randhawa shared live footage with her of him having sex with another girl, who was only 15. He also smoked drugs with one victim and forced himself on her, filming the attack without her knowledge.
Thanks to the bravery of the girls in coming forward and recalling the awful events, police built a strong case. Randhawa pleaded guilty to four counts of rape, two counts of taking indecent images of a child, two counts of sharing indecent images, and engaging in sexual communication with a child. All offences happened between July 2024 and September 2025.
He was jailed for 18 years at Wolverhampton Crown Court on Thursday, 12 February 2026. He has also been added to the sex offenders register for life.
Detective Constable Mark Tallis, from West Midlands Police public protection unit, said: “Randhawa targeted and exploited these young girls for his own sexual desires. He persuaded two of the girls to meet him and raped them.
“These were horrific experiences for the girls, as it was for the 12-year-old who was threatened if she did not share indecent images.
“It was through the courage of the girls in coming forward that we were able to convict Randhawa for his deplorable behaviour. Their bravery has taken a dangerous man off the streets and prevented others from being targeted.”
Police are appealing for anyone else who may have been targeted by Randhawa to come forward. Specialist staff are available to listen and provide support.
