Police have launched an investigation after shots were fired at a house in Birmingham just after midnight this morning (28 Feb).
A group of men opened fire with shotguns and a handgun at the house in Finnemore Road, Bordesley Green, before making off.
Windows were shot through at the address. The house was occupied at the time, with children inside, but thankfully no-one was hurt.
Detectives have seized CCTV and are continuing an extended CCTV and road camera trawl in a bid to identify the offenders.
Birmingham Police Inspector said: “This is a shocking incident. We believe around 10 shots in total may have been fired at the address. There were children inside but luckily no-one was hurt. But we could easily have been looking at casualties from this outrageous act.
“Our investigation is well underway and we’ve recovered ballistic material from the scene.
“If anyone saw what happened, or saw the offenders making off from the scene, then i would urge them to contact us in confidence.”
