More than 70 firefighters are currently tackling a significant fire that broke out in an office and warehouse building in the Walsgrave area of Coventry. The incident is taking place on the Cross Point business park, which is situated close to the M6 and M69 motorways.
As a precaution, people living or working nearby have been asked to keep their doors and windows closed. The fire broke out at approximately 5.43 pm on Sunday, 5th March. Multiple 999 calls were received by Staffordshire and West Midlands Fire Control reporting the blaze.

The West Midlands Fire Service (WMF) is working in collaboration with the police to ensure the safe departure of people leaving a nearby cinema by car. The first crew from WMF arrived at the scene in Olivier Way just five minutes after being mobilised. They were met with a severe fire in a two-storey office and warehouse building.
Motorists are being urged to avoid the immediate vicinity of the fire. We will keep you updated as the story unfolds.
