A man and a teenager have been arrested after police seized a sword, a knife, a stash of Class A drugs, and Class B drugs, and a large amount of cash after carrying out a warrant in Selly Oak, Birmingham, this morning.

Officers acted on intelligence and carried out a raid at an address in Hubert Croft, at around 5am this morning.

Following searches by our Selly Oak neighbourhood team, alongside specialist officers from our Priority Crime Team, police found the weapons, drugs including cocaine, and a samurai sword and rambo knife.

A 20-year-old man was arrested at the address for possession of Class A and Class B drugs with intent to supply.

A 16-year-old boy was arrested at the address for possession of Class A and Class B drugs with intent to supply, and for possession of offensive weapon.

The two remain in custody.

We’re working day in day out to take dangerous weapons and drugs off the streets of the city.
