BIRMINGHAM – A 16-year-old boy has been charged with multiple offences, including possession of a firearm, after police recovered a gun and a knife in Small Heath.
The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons due to his age, was scheduled to appear at Birmingham Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, June 3rd. The charges against him include possession of a firearm, possession of ammunition, possession of a blade, and possession of criminal property.
His arrest occurred on Sunday, June 1st, after officers stopped a vehicle on Coventry Road. The police action followed reports that a weapon had been seen inside the car.
During their enquiries, officers seized a firearm, a rambo-style knife, and a significant quantity of cash.
In connection with the same investigation, a 23-year-old man who was also arrested has been recalled to prison.
