Teenager Charged with Attempted Murder Following Oldbury Stabbing

A 15-year-old teenager has been formally charged with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing a 14-year-old boy in Oldbury early yesterday morning.

Police were dispatched to Brunel Road in the early hours of January 4th after reports of a serious knife wound inflicted on the victim. Upon arrival, officers found the injured boy, who was immediately transported to a local hospital. He remains in serious condition.

The suspect, a 15-year-old from Sandwell, has been charged with both attempted murder and possession of a knife in a public place. Due to his age, he cannot be publicly identified. He has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court tomorrow morning, January 6th.

In response to the incident, authorities have announced that additional police officers will be deployed in Oldbury over the coming days to enhance public safety and provide reassurance to the community.
