Teenager charged after series of robberies in Sheldon and Small Heath.

A 17-year-old boy has been charged in connection with a series of robberies in the Sheldon and Small Heath areas.

He was charged with five counts of possession of a knife and six counts of fraud by false representation. The offences are alleged to have occurred near Ackers Trust and Sheldon Country Park.

The teenager is due to appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court today (14 August).

Robbery is a priority for us in Birmingham and police are committed to identifying offenders and bringing them to justice.

Police will continue to work tirelessly to disrupt and dismantle organised crime groups and protect our communities.
