Teenager Stabbed in Bordesley Green as Police Launch Investigation

A police investigation is underway after a 16-year-old boy was stabbed in Bordesley Green, Birmingham, on Saturday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to Pretoria Road at around 3:30 pm following reports of a stabbing. The teenager sustained serious injuries and was rushed to hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.

West Midlands Police have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the attack. Officers are also probing reports of disorder involving multiple people at a Birmingham hospital, which is believed to be linked to the stabbing incident.

Amid social media speculation, police have strongly denied claims that ambulances were raided or prevented from dropping off patients at two Birmingham hospitals following the attack. Officers, hospital staff, and ambulance officials have confirmed that these rumours are false and damaging to the healthcare services involved.

In response to the knife crime incident, community members held a peace vigil in Bordesley Green on Sunday, calling for an end to violence in the area.

A police operation is now in place to locate those responsible, with uniformed officers patrolling the area to reassure residents and gather information. Detectives urge anyone with details about the attack to come forward via Live Chat on the West Midlands Police website or call 101, quoting log 2746 of 15 February.

For those who wish to remain anonymous, Crimestoppers can be contacted at 0800 555 111. Information shared with Crimestoppers will not be traced, and callers may be eligible for a cash reward.
