Two teenagers have been charged after a car was stolen in Birmingham on Saturday afternoon (20 February) with the owner’s two children still inside.
Police were alerted to the incident just after 5 pm when the children’s dad reported his car had been stolen with his children, aged two and four, sat inside.
Thankfully both children were found safe and well and reunited with their parents at the roadside a short time later.
Two boys, both aged 15 and from Birmingham, have been remanded in custody to appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court tomorrow morning (Monday).
The pair, who cannot be named for legal reasons, will both stand accused of two counts of kidnap and aggravated theft of a motor vehicle.
One of the teens has also been charged with dangerous driving, driving without a license, and driving without insurance.
