People in parts of South Wales have reported feeling an earthquake as a tremor shook homes and walls shortly after midnight.
The British Geological Survey (BGS) said the earthquake had a magnitude of 4.2 and struck at 12.14am.
It was centred about four miles north-west of Swansea, near the town of Gorseinon.
A BGS spokesman said: “It was felt by some people in the Swansea area and as far away as Cardiff.”
There were no immediate reports of any damage.
