Wanted man officers were looking for in connection with assaults and threatening a cyclist with a machete taunted us on social media saying “catch me if you can”.
So police caught him.
WMP issued an appeal last Thursday (1 Sept) for information to trace the 18-year-old.
He’d failed to appear at court having been charged with knife possession and police also wanted to talk to him about two domestic assaults.
The teenager spotted police appeal and weighed in on the comments saying “I’m right under your nose” and “catch me if you can”.
WMP accepted the challenge and on Monday (5 Sept) detained him at an address in Wolverhampton.
He’s now been charged with failing to attend court, plus criminal damage of a police cell, assaulting a police officer, and racially abusing a custody sergeant.
He has been remanded in prison.
