Police have uncovered and destroyed cannabis plants worth an estimated £300,000 following a raid in Edgbaston.
Officers from the proactive crime team, Taurus, supported by the local neighbourhood
policing team, acted on intelligence to execute a drugs warrant at a property on Manor Road North.
During the operation, which took place around 8 am yesterday (29 November), officers discovered up to 300 cannabis plants inside the premises. The plants have since been removed and destroyed.
Investigations into the illegal operation are ongoing as police work to identify those responsible for the drugs den.
A spokesperson highlighted the wider impact of such operations, stating, “Drugs not only ruin lives but fuel further crime. We take regular action to shut down drug factories and target suppliers and dealers.”
Authorities continue to urge the public to report any suspicious activity to help combat drug-related crime in the community.
