As the festive season rapidly approaches, Birmingham commuters are advised to note the upcoming alterations to the bus timetable. National Express West Midlands has recently released updated schedules, set to be effective from December 24, 2023, through January 6, 2024.
In light of the festive holidays, no bus services will be available on Monday, December 25. However, on Tuesday, December 26, which marks Boxing Day, special timetables will be in operation on most routes, with the last journeys scheduled between 6 pm and 8 pm. Some services will extend until late evening.
Key Highlights:
December 24, 2023 – January 6, 2024: National Express West Midlands has issued new timetables, and commuters can access them for the specified period. To find the timetable for your service, utilize the search box provided.
Christmas Day – December 25, 2023: In observance of the festive holidays, there will be no bus services on Christmas Day.
Boxing Day – December 26, 2023: Special timetables will be in effect on most routes, with the last journeys scheduled between 6 pm and 8 pm. Some services will operate until late evening. Notably, Service 8 (Lichfield – Brownhills) will be inactive, but alternative buses will run between Walsall and Brownhills. Services 20 (Bromsgrove – QE Hospital), 25 (Bilston – i54), 35 (Walsall – Aldridge), 62 (Wolverhampton – Compton), 77 (Walsall – Sutton Coldfield), and 530 (Wolverhampton – Rocket Pool) will not be operational.
December 27-29, 2023: Saturday services will run on most routes during this period. However, night journeys on Service 74 will be suspended. Additionally, Services 10A and X15 will operate during this time.
December 30, 2023: A normal Saturday service will resume.
December 31, 2023 (New Year’s Eve): A regular Sunday service will run.
January 1, 2024 (New Year’s Day): Special timetables will be in effect, but all services will continue until their usual finishing times. Evening journeys will operate as usual.
January 2-5, 2024: A school holiday timetable will be implemented during this period.
