Police in Smethwick have made a significant arrest and seized a quantity of Class A drugs after stopping a suspicious vehicle on the evening of 12 December.
The incident unfolded at around 7:40 pm when the driver of the vehicle fled the scene. A 19-year-old man was apprehended shortly after in Raglan Road.
A search of the vehicle uncovered Class A drugs, multiple mobile phones, and cash. Further investigation led officers to an address connected to the suspect, where additional drugs were recovered.
The teenager has been detained on suspicion of possessing drugs with intent to supply and driving while disqualified. He remains in police custody for further questioning.
Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the full extent of the suspect’s activities. This operation underscores the ongoing commitment to tackling drug-related crime in the community.
