A drug dealer has been jailed for 13 years after police raided his home and discovered a firearm and ammunition inside as well as £26,000 worth of heroin and crack cocaine.

Officers entered Warren Gordon’s home on Brades Road, Oldbury, on 3 December 2018.

As well as finding a large amount of heroin and crack cocaine police also seized a firearm and bullets which Gordon had stashed in the home.

Within the flat were Gordon’s personal belongings including a valid passport in his name despite his account that he didn’t live at the premises.

Forensic evidence was recovered belonging to the 37-year-old on one of the heroin parcels.

In March 2019 Gordon was arrested and taken into custody. He was later charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition, possession with intent to supply Class A heroin and crack cocaine and the production of Class B cannabis as well as being in possession of criminal property.

The case went to trial after Gordon pleaded not guilty to the charges but he was convicted at Wolverhampton Crown Court this week and jailed.

Detective Inspector Jackie Nicholson, Complex Investigation Manager for Force CID said: “We are delighted Gordon has been taken off the streets and is now behind bars. Firearms and drugs wreck lives and this custodial sentence sends out a clear message that this type of criminality simply won’t be tolerated.”
