In a daring act of bravery, a local hero in Hall Green emerged as a savior when a mother and her 3-year-old child found themselves trapped in rising floodwaters. The incident unfolded when a couple on a leisurely walk noticed a car attempting to navigate through the floodwaters and becoming stranded.

According to the locals, the couple, realising the imminent danger, promptly halted to take pictures and raise the alarm. The situation took a dire turn as the vehicle struggled against the force of the water, leaving the mother and child trapped inside.

Without hesitation, a courageous local resident waded into the floodwaters and executed a swift rescue operation. The hero managed to extricate both the 3-year-old child and the driver from the perilous situation, demonstrating extraordinary courage in the face of adversity.

WMP said: A local hero in Hall Green entered the flood water and rescued a 3 year old child and the driver, before securing the vehicle to the bridge to prevent it being washed away.
