Man charged with attempted murder

Police have charged a man with attempted murder following a knife attack in Birmingham.

A man in his 20s sustained serious injuries on Fentham Road around 8.25pm on 31 March. Thankfully, the injuries were not life-threatening.

Following enquiries, a 44-year-old man was arrested yesterday (12 Apr) in connection with the attack.

Richard Palmer, from Birmingham, has now been charged with attempted murder and possession of a blade in a public place.

He has also been charged with a bilking and assault in relation to a separate incident.

He was remanded to appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court today.
