Taxi Driver Attacked by Teenagers on Scooters in Chelmsley Wood

A taxi driver was assaulted by a group of teenagers on scooters in the Chemsley Wood area of Solihull on Thursday, just before 16:00.

The incident occurred while the driver was working on Winchester Drive, leaving him injured and shaken.

According to reports, the driver was approached by a group of teenagers riding scooters and Sur-Ron bikes. In a sudden and violent attack, one of the teenagers struck the driver in the face with a brick, while others kicked him in the back before fleeing the scene.

The police were promptly called to the area following the attack, and an investigation is now underway to identify and apprehend those responsible. The driver sustained injuries but was able to call for help and report the incident.

Local residents and fellow drivers have expressed their concern over the attack, highlighting the increasing issue of anti-social behaviour in the area. The police have urged anyone with information about the incident to come forward, as they work to ensure the safety of the community.
