Birmingham Police have launched an urgent appeal for information after a 17-year-old boy was stabbed at a bus stop on Lodge Road on the evening of 15 February. The incident occurred at approximately 7:30 pm, leaving the local community shaken.
According to the police press release, the victim was waiting for the number 101 bus at a stop opposite Norton Street when a black WV Polo pulled up nearby. The occupants of the vehicle allegedly began chasing the teenager, who fell into the entrance of the bus during the pursuit. While on the ground, the boy was attacked and sustained knife wounds to his arms.
Detective Constable Jo-Anne Hindmarsh from Bournville CID stated, “We know this is a concerning incident, and we are working hard to bring the offenders to justice. As part of our investigation, we would like to identify the two people in the images, as we believe they may have vital information.”
Police have released images of two individuals they wish to speak to in connection with the attack. Authorities are urging anyone who recognises the individuals or has any information about the incident to come forward.
