A teenager has been taken to hospital after being attacked by a group of youths in Linwood Road, Handsworth, this afternoon (21 Jan).
The 15-year-old boy has life-threatening injuries after shots were fired just after 3.30 pm.
The suspects fled in a white car which crashed into a house a short distance away in Wheeler Street. No arrests have been made.
Inquiries are underway and the road has been closed with a cordon placed around the scene. Officers are speaking to witnesses and fast-tracking CCTV in the area.
