You may remember seeing this video which Police shared last summer after a hit-and-run collision flung a woman into the air and killed her beloved pet dog.

The car plowed into the woman and her pet Staffordshire Bull Terrier Millie on 22 July. The woman survived despite having sustained substantial injuries, sadly Millie didn’t make it.

Police released video footage of the collision and had an overwhelming response to our appeal with the footage shared thousands of times and watched by millions of people.

Kallum Aish, aged 18, was arrested as a result and he’s now admitted to being behind the wheel of the Renault Clio when it lost control on Doe Bank Lane, Great Barr.

Aish, who was 17 at the time of the collision, pleaded guilty to six offenses at Birmingham Magistrates Court yesterday (28 January); causing serious injury by dangerous driving, failing to stop after a road accident, being uninsured, unlicensed, possession of cannabis and ’criminal damage’ in relation to the death of the dog.

He is due to be sentenced at Birmingham Crown Court next month.
