Birmingham – Police are continuing to investigate a serious incident at Moseley School in Birmingham after a 15-year-old boy was stabbed on school grounds earlier this week.

The stabbing took place just before 2pm on Tuesday, 10 June, at the Wake Green Road secondary school. The victim sustained two slash wounds to his back and was rushed to hospital. Fortunately, his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

In the aftermath of the attack, six boys aged 13 and 14 were arrested. West Midlands Police have since confirmed that five of the boys – four aged 14 and one aged 13 – have been released on police bail with strict conditions.

A sixth boy, aged 13, has been released and will face no further police action.

The police have recovered CCTV footage and other evidence as part of their ongoing enquiries. They are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has images or video footage to come forward.

“We continue to support the victim and the school community during this difficult time,” a spokesperson for West Midlands Police said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police directly or via Crimestoppers anonymously.
