Two men have been jailed for 14 years after cops discovered a Class A drugs production line at a house in Coventry.

Officers from the Regional Organised Crime Unit (ROCU) swooped on an address in Hipswell Highway in July 2018 after acting on information and intelligence. Cocaine and heroin worth up to £45,000 and cannabis were recovered with the kitchen area acting like a ‘Class A production line.’

Akbar Ali and Juhel Ahmed pleaded guilty to supplying Class A drugs and were sentenced at Birmingham Crown Court last Wednesday (27 May).

Ali, aged 31 of Burlington Road, Coventry, was jailed for seven years and 10 months; while 43-year-old Ahmed, of Ena Road, Coventry, received six years and four months.
