Two teenagers charged over stabbing of boy aged 13 in Washwood Heath

Police have charged two teenagers after a boy aged 13 was stabbed in Birmingham on Wednesday.

The boys, aged 13 and 14, are accused of wounding with intent, and possession of a knife and were appearing before the city’s youth court today.

Officers were called to Cottsmeadow Drive, Washwood Heath, at around 4pm, after the victim was stabbed in the stomach and leg.

The victim is continuing to recover from his injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening.
