Police are appealing for information to trace an attempted murder suspect who’s wanted over a stabbing that’s left a man fighting for his life in hospital.
Keith Wagstaffe, from Cookspiece Walk in Stechford, is sought over a knife attack at a multi-occupancy property in Arden Walk, Birmingham on 30 September.
It’s understood several people forced entry to the bedsit at around 1pm before the occupant, a 43-year-old man, was stabbed several times.
The man was placed in an induced coma in hospital where he remains sedated in a critical condition.
Officers believe 29-year-old Wagstaffe played a part in the stabbing and are urging anyone who’s seen him or has information on his whereabouts to get in touch.
Our detectives have already arrested two men aged 18 and 39 in connection with the wounding; they have been bailed while enquiries progress.
Detective Sergeant Simon Hanlon from Force CID said: “This was a frenzied attack and the victim has suffered, we believe, seven stab wounds to his body.
“Our enquiries suggest Wagstaffe knows the victim and that this was a targeted attack. We do not believe anything was stolen from the flat.
“We’ve made good progress with two suspects already arrested and a vehicle we believe used in the attack seized for forensic examination.
