A man has died following a collision last night on Pershore Road in Birmingham.
The moped rider collided with a silver Mercedes car near the junction with Cotteridge Road at around 8pm.
Emergency first aid was performed on the 27-year-old in the street before he was transferred to the hospital but sadly he was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.
Officers have notified the man’s next of kin and a specialist family liaison officer is offering them support at this tragic time.
The driver of the Mercedes stopped at the scene and provided a negative breath and drug test; police will be speaking to them again at a later date as our enquiries progress.
Police have seized the car and moped as part of our investigation.
