WMP murder detectives have launched an investigation after a man attended hospital in the early hours of yesterday (31 October) after being stabbed. The victim has been identified as Gary Warner.

It is believed that the 31-year-old travelled to Good Hope Hospital in a silver Skoda Yeti at around 5am. Despite the best efforts of medical staff, Mr Warner sadly passed away in hospital yesterday afternoon.

Detectives are now appealing for anyone who may have seen the vehicle in Sutton Coldfield between 4am and 5am to get in touch.

A 20-year-old man was arrested from an address in Sutton Coldfield on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody.
