Woman charged after charity box is stolen

Police have charged a 42-year-old woman after the contents of a charity box were stolen at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham’s Cancer Centre.It is alleged that approximately £400 was inside the box when the lid was forced open and it was emptied at about 10pm on Wednesday 20 May.

Emma Andrews, of Leehurst Crescent, Harborne, has been charged with burglary and remanded to appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court tomorrow (Thursday 28 May)
