At 12.10pm on Tuesday 24 May WMFS were called to help free a fox cub from a car wheel.

The animal had been found in the back garden of a house in Woolacombe Lodge Road, Selly Oak, Birmingham.

Firefighters from Bournbrook fire station responded and, using small tools, worked with the RSPCA to release the animal.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Fire Service said: “We imagine the cub was feeling a little tyred and a bit deflated by the ordeal. The RSPCA took it to be checked over by a vet.”
